Well, here’s a project that has NOTHING to do with drawing or painting! My good friend and I endeavored recently to beautify my home a bit further (with some urging from my good wife), with a mantel for the fireplace. Interesting fact: mantel is a called a chimneypiece in Britain. Anyways, I think it turned […]
We had a rip-roarin’ time at the New Year’s Eve-Eve party this year! It was a patriotic western theme and I was asked to paint these boots as part of the decorations. They are about 4.5 ft tall and made of OSB plywood. Not the best surface to paint, but it was fun!
Here are a couple of reclaimed windows that I painted last week. One was for my cousin, who gave it to her sister for a gift, and the other was for my aunt who will be also ordering three others to match each of the other seasons. This one is called Winter. This one was […]
With the inclement weather here in Ohio this weekend, I had a bit more time on my hands than normal. This gave me an excellent opportunity to play with a new app I recently downloaded, Adobe Sketch. Using an iPad Pro 12.9″ and an Apple Pencil, I created the following paintings: This was a fun […]
Was looking through some old pictures this week and I came across this job that I did for the City of Bellefontaine’s Fire Department back in 2003. Wow! 13 years ago, can you believe how time flies? As some have said, time flies when you’re having fun, but as frogs say, Time’s fun when you’re […]
Did two chalkboards over the weekend – same basic design, two different formats. Horizontal: Vertical:
Had a chance to design a couple more logos recently, this being one of them. The other one is not available for public release as of yet. Meanwhile, check out the new logo for Queen Bee Embroideree!
I was asked by the Young People’s leaders to create a fun prop for photos at the Senior’s Autumn Banquet at church. The direction was simple: teal, truck, pumpkins… Drawing the design on 1/4″ underlayment board Jigsaw work is finished! Pumpkin detail. Chrome wheels anyone? More chrome on the bumper and headlights Testing the alignment. […]
Honda Transmission Manufacturing here in Ohio has an annual open house event each October. This year I was invited to do some live caricatures. Check ’em out! I was there for about 3.5 hours and did a little over 50 caricatures. That’s a new record!
Recently was contacted by a client to create a logo for his new business. We wanted to convey a high-class look for a metal systems installation company.
